Lent Resources 2021

The Church of England’s Lent resources theme for 2021 is #LiveLent: God’s Story, Our Story. There are lots of different ways to engage with the resources, including a book, an app and a daily email reflection delivered to your inbox. Accompanying Lent course – by Hendrik Klaver (20s-40s Minister, Diocese of York)

Life in your 20’s, 30’s and 40’s often seems like a time of survival: managing our social lives, raising children, focusing on your work, balancing it all, etc. How can we live Jesus’ story in our own lives whilst we are simply trying to live our lives?

Hendrik and Mavis Klaver and Alice and Josh Vale would love to invite you to join them on a journey exploring together liberating and practical ways of living and sharing the gospel story afresh. We are using this year’s Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book “Living His Story” by Hannah Steele (£8) and we are meeting on Zoom on Thursday evenings through Lent at 8.30pm starting on Thursday 25th February.

If you’d like to join us or maybe you’d like more information, please contact us. Hendrik: blessmalton@gmail.com or Alice: contact@stpetersnorton.org.uk

A Pocket Guide to Shrinking Your Ecological Footprint:

Peter Laverick has free copies of the above publication by Church House Publication. He will be happy to post/deliver this to you. Please get in touch with us and we will forward this on to him.

Tearfund’s free Lent devotionals:

Tearfund are offering a free lent devotional, available as an email bulletin or a paper copy sent through the post.

We all tell ourselves stories about who we are: as individuals, as communities and as the church. But there’s a bigger story – one that changes everything. It’s the story of God, and we’re invited to be a part of it. Join us as we prepare for Easter by revisiting the story that lays the foundation for who we are and how we live.
